5 For Family – Top 5 Family Events For This Week

The Edmonton Journal – Published: Friday, April 11, 2008

This year, the Edmonton Woman’s Show is bringing awareness to the plight of abused women. Through the campaign Making a Change, a clothing drive has been launched in Edmonton, collecting new and gently used clothing, shoes and purses. The response has been overwhelming, both from the public and from sponsors.

The 2008 Spring Edmonton Woman’s Show will encompass the full spectrum of women, from success to distress. Enjoy all the latest developments in health, wealth, beauty, nutrition and education, as well as the second phase of the fundraiser campaign, the Making a Change Boutique. All sales proceeds from the boutique will be donated to the Lurana Shelter and the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters.

This year’s guest is Monica Magnetti, life/business and wellness coach of Luna Coaching. Magnetti will be providing exclusive access to her manual and workbook, 30 Days to a New You: Get What You Want Through Authentic Change. Guests will have the opportunity to buy a signed copy and interact with the author. She will also be hosting motivational speech, book singing and complimentary coaching sessions.

The show is being held in Northlands AgriCom, Hall A, Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission $11, students and seniors $9.
